The **Production Operator** will take a hands-on role in the production and warehousing of Poly-ISO insulation by performing a variety of tasks to maintain the proper flow of materials through the production process. **Duties and Responsibilities:** - Moving materials using a forklift - Operate production equipment and packaging equipment - Follow production schedules, job instructions, quality standards, specifications, and procedures - Detect and/or correct and report faulty operations or defective materials - Calculate output: square feet, sheet length, linear feet, units, etc - Measuring, cutting, and gluing materials - Ensure safe equipment operation and personal safety compliance - Maintain good housekeeping and workplace organization (5S/Lean Manufacturing) - Other production responsibilities as needed and assigned **Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:** - Ability to operate a forklift - Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills - Skills in using power and hand tools such as chop saw, table saw, band saw - Strong verbal communication and listening skills - Ability to follow instructions and read production orders - Ability to effectively communicate - Ability to read measuring gauges such as a tape measure and calipers **Competencies:** - Teamwork - Builds trust with others by encouraging open dialogue and collaboration.
