**US Farathane** is seeking an experienced **Operations Manager** who is responsible for leading all day-to-day manufacturing operations with an automotive plastic injection molding facility, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met. This role provides strategic and hand-on leadership across production, maintenance, quality, and materials to support customer requirements and continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with IATF 16949 standards. US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image. - Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products. - Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. - Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Materials, and HR to support plant objectives. - Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. - Ensuring all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. - Ensure adherence to standardized work, work instructions, and process controls. - Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. - Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. - Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports. - Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives. - Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. - Ensures compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality systems. - Support APQP, PPAP, control plans, PFMEA, and layered process audits. - Partner with Quality to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints. - Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure optimal uptime of injection molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment. - Participate in capital planning for tooling, presses, automation, and auxiliary equipment. - Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S, and OEE improvement projects. - Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. - Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in an automotive plastic injection molding environment. - Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling materials (resins), and automation. - Experience working with IATF 16949 certified facilities. - Proven leadership of high-volume, multi-shift operations. **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the es…
