A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Grade: Professional 306 Pay Range: $62,100.00 - $93,200.00 **Job Description** The Operations Asset Manager is responsible for the management of WGU assets as it pertains to the Site Operations department. This includes, but is not limited to, computers, mobile devices, software licenses and subscriptions, printers, and other IT equipment for employee use. The position is also responsible for ensuring accuracy of hardware and software asset records and employee assignments and tracking, including the reclaiming of unused licenses/subscriptions as well as the procurement of additional seats when necessary which will include working with Site Operations Leadership and the Purchasing department. This position will also work with leadership by assisting in determining equipment standards for all WGU departments through regular meetings with Site Operations, Security Operations, Desktop Architecture, IT Service Desk, and other department stakeholders. # Operations Asset Manager ## Impact Intro As an Operations Asset Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, lifecycle management, compliance, and operational readiness of the organization's hardware and software assets. You will collaborate across technology and business teams to manage inventory, licensing, procurement, reporting, and asset governance while delivering an exceptional support experience for both local and remote employees. ## What You'll Do - Manage hardware and consumable inventory, including stockroom organization, deployment readiness, and disposal activities. - Maintain and audit asset management databases, ensuring accurate asset, warranty, licensing, and service agreement records. - Monitor hardware and software asset compliance and support licensing reviews, purchase agreements, and audit readiness. - Lead hardware refresh planning and execution while tracking quality throughout the asset lifecycle. - Oversee asset resale and disposal processes, including verification of data destruction requirements. - Create, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures related to asset management processes and controls. - Provide reporting, metrics, automation recommendations, and self-service enhancements to improve operational efficiency and inform leadership decision-making. ## What You'll Bring - Minimum of 2+ years of Asset Management or similar industry experience. - Working knowledge of hardware, including desktops, laptops, thin clients, and mobile devices. - Experience with network protocols and security policy as it relates to desktop operating systems and computing environments. - Knowledge of IT asset tracking tools, including IT service desk platforms. - High School Diploma or GED. - Experienc…
