Oversees engagement processes including Watch List, Action Planning, and migration strategies. Provides workforce management and operational efficiency improvement expertise and support to regional leadership and management. Leads region-level Workforce Management Steering committees and sets agendas. Oversees reporting from productivity systems and external comparative databases to assist management in monitoring operational and financial performance. Evaluates opportunities for improvement in operational and financial performance. Develops and maintains productivity standards. Manages Position Control processes and exceptions needing approval. Conducts roll-up reporting from facilities within the region. Provides support resources for coaching and project support. Identifies needs and prioritizes projects and support needed. Identifies internal leading practices and opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor message to individuals and audiences throughout the institution from senior executives to front line staff. [Required] • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed concentrated effort to multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines. [Required] • Initiative and ability to work independently (self-direction), while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness. Attention to detail that ensures follow through on all initiatives implemented, and all projects undertaken. [Required] • Knowledge or exposure to the application of statistical analyses, predictive modeling and their practical application to improvement projects. [Required] • Thorough knowledge of information systems and their application to healthcare and ability to creatively use existing resources for problem resolution. [Required] • Mastery of desktop applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access) and workforce and other clinical and non-clinical database management applications. [Required] • Ability and experience in developing and successfully teaching robust performance improvement techniques to include but not limited to Lean/Six Sigma. [Required] • Ability to strategically and operationally lead and/or facilitate performance improvement teams and projects from conception through completion across several hospitals. [Required] • Has business acumen and a good understanding of clinical services. Ability to balance financial resource with desired clinical outcomes to ensure care delivery in an effective, efficient and safe manner.
