The Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences seeks a vibrant pediatric dentist to join our passionate team of academic clinicians. This is a part-time, non-tenure Open Rank Professor position. This position provides primarily clinical supervision of dental students and residents, although some didactic lecturing may be required. The Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences seeks a vibrant pediatric dentist to join our passionate team of academic clinicians. This is a part-time, non-tenure Open Rank Professor position. This position provides primarily clinical supervision of dental students and residents, although some didactic lecturing may be required. ### Responsibilities - Provide supervision of dental students and residents involved in patient care. - Didactic course development and delivery. - Instruction in a predoctoral lab course. - Participation in College of Dentistry committees and priorities. - Individuals new to academics will be expected to participate in professional development activities to establish a scholarly foundation for didactic and clinical teaching activities. - Additional duties at the discretion of the Department Chair. - Participation in resident and student research projects. ### Qualifications **EDUCATION:** DDS or DMD or international equivalent. **LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:** TN dental license or eligible. **DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES:** - Experience in hospital dentistry and advanced behavior guidance techniques. - Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. **THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE HEALTH SCIENCES** The University of Tennessee Health Sciences is a statewide flagship, public, academic health institution in Tennessee.
