Nurses on this unit provide compassionate, specialized care while monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, delivering chemotherapy and other treatments, and supporting patients through complex care needs. Care provided on this unit includes chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplant/CAR-T, radioactive iodine, and symptom management. - Work within **one of the** country’s **largest cancer networks**, **accredited as an Integrated Network Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.** - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including board-certified and fellowship-trained cancer experts, to support individualized patient care. - Provide care in an environment that prioritizes advanced, evidence-based **technology and treatments**, including **innovative radiation therapies**, **robotic surgery**, **and HIPEC**®. **Education Requirements** - **Degree or** diploma **in Registered Nursing required** - **Bachelor of Science** in **Nursing** (**BSN**) **or** Master of Science in Nursing (**MSN**) preferred - **Students** currently **completing an accredited nursing program** are encouraged to apply **Certification/Licensure Requirements** - Registered Nurse license required - **Students in the process of obtaining a Registered** Nurse license may be considered - Basic Life Support (**BLS**) **required within 90 days of hire** - **Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Sentara**-**approved Chemotherapy** and **Biotherapy Provider Card** required **within 6 months of hire** **Experience Requirements** - **No** prior RN **experience required** **New Graduate RNs Are Welcome to Apply** This unit welcomes both new graduate nurses and experienced nurses transitioning into oncology or intermediate care.
