**POSITION DESCRIPTION** Onboarding Specialist 20260203 **SUMMARY OVERVIEW** The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the new hire process to ensure a seamless and compliant onboarding experience. This role involves managing background checks, drug testing, and I-9 verification while maintaining accurate records and supporting a fast-paced operational environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service orientation are essential for success in this position. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - New Hire Processing: Initiate and monitor background checks, schedule drug tests, and complete I-9 verification for all new hires. - Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate digital and physical employee records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. - Candidate Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process, providing clear communication and guidance. - Workflow Management: Track onboarding progress and proactively address delays to ensure timely completion of all steps. - Collaboration: Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and other internal teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees. - Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned by management. **QUALIFICATIONS** - Must be 18 years of age or older. - Eligible to work in the United States. - Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking). - Experience: Minimum 2 plus years in HR, recruitment coordination, or onboarding; experience in aviation or regulated industries preferred. - Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with TSA/FAA background check requirements and E-Verify protocols is a plus. - Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and compliance processes. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in UKG and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
