Office Manager - Character, Attendance, and Restorative Education (CARE) JobID: 1095 Position Type: Student, Family and Community Services-Para/HRLY/Office Manager Date Posted: 7/9/2026 Location: Cox Building Closing Date: Until Filled Additional Information: Show/Hide Pay Grade: 780 (Min $22.20 Hourly) Work Days: 226 Primary Purpose: Facilitate the efficient office management for the staff of assigned department Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use personal computer and software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database Proficient skills in typing, word processing, file maintenance, and digital systems management Effective communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills, organizational proficiency Experience: One to three years of secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment Working knowledge of financial function preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Assume responsibility for the organization, operation, and distribution of clerical and intradepartmental work as assigned Responsible for correspondence generated from department Provide clerical and organizational duties for department Serve as the primary site receptionist as needed Monitor safety protocols regarding visitor entry and logs as needed Collaborate with stakeholders regarding department facility needs Maintain inventory and reorder as needed Schedule meetings, appointments and maintain calendar for assigned staff as designated by supervisor Collaborate with assigned department staff on the structure and inputting of program budgets: reporting balances, expenditures, entering all budget transfers, and all business transactions per district policies and guidelines Responsible for generating requisitions/purchase orders: obtaining quotes, enter and track purchase orders, and receive to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner for assigned department Collect, deposit and maintain accurate records of monetary transactions Maintain department records and files; Sort, distribute, or deliver mail, equipment, and other documents Order, receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment Monitor and report on department absence system management: monitor personnel time records to include sick leave, vacation, and special requests for assigned staff Monitor timesheets management: curriculum writing projects, required training compensation, and special projects as approved through supervisor Make travel arrangements as requested Support Advisory Committees, including maintaining member rosters and contact information, communicating with all members and invited guests, meeting logistics, food and beverage arrangements, prepare materials for meetings, and maintain records of meeting minutes Maintain confidentiality of information Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives of supervisor Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor Equipment Used: Uses computer, scanner, printer, copier, calculator, and fax Working Conditions: Mental Demands: Reading; ability to perform basic arithmetic; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions.
