Ocean Export Coordinator

## Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused **Ocean Export Coordinator** to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ocean export operations within the freight forwarding industry and possess in-depth knowledge of export documentation, regulations, and shipment management. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. ## Key Responsibilities - Coordinate and manage ocean export shipments from origin to destination. - Prepare, review, and process export documentation in compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. - Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations and export procedures. - Handle shipments as both a **Freight Forwarder** and **NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier)**. - Coordinate hazardous cargo shipments and ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulations. - Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, vendors, overseas agents, and internal teams. - Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving shipment issues. - Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays or operational challenges. - Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity within company systems. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners. - Collaborate with team members to support operational efficiency and service excellence. - Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs while meeting tight deadlines. ## Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum **3 years of Ocean Export logistics experience** working directly for a **freight forwarder**. - Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements. - Experience handling shipments in both **Freight Forwarder** and **NVOCC** environments. - Experience with hazardous cargo shipments; **DG Certification** is highly preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple audiences. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy to prevent costly shipment errors. - Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and adjust quickly when circumstances change. - Capable of working independently and carrying out responsibilities with minimal supervision. - Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships. - Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. - Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite**, including **Word, Excel, and PowerPoint**. - Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. ## Preferred Qualifications - Dangerous Goods (DG) Certification. - Experience working in a high-volume international logistics environment. - Familiarity with transportation management and freight forwarding systems.
