TheraPeds Partners is seeking a **school-based Occupational Therapist (OT)** to support an elementary school in **Newport, New Hampshire** during the **2026–2027 school year**. This **full-time, on-site** opportunity is based at **one school location**, giving you the chance to build lasting relationships with students, staff, and families while helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in the classroom. ### **Position Summary** - Full-time schedule (**37.5 hours per week**) - 2026–2027 school year (August through May) - On-site assignment - One elementary school campus - Serving students in **PreK–5** - Manageable caseloads - Guaranteed paid hours, including treatment, documentation, planning, and administrative time - Ongoing support from both the partnering district and TheraPeds Partners ### **Primary Responsibilities** In this role, you'll work collaboratively with educators and related service providers to help students maximize their participation in school activities through individualized occupational therapy services. Your responsibilities will include: - Delivering direct occupational therapy services aligned with each student's educational goals - Conducting evaluations and interpreting assessment findings to determine service recommendations - Contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Managing an assigned caseload while maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports - Consulting with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success across classroom environments - Recommending strategies, accommodations, and therapeutic interventions that promote functional independence and classroom participation - Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed ### **Qualifications** Successful candidates will possess: - Bachelor's, Master's, OTD, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution - Current Occupational Therapist license - NBCOT certification - Department of Education licensure or certification, when required - Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred - Strong knowledge of sensory integration, developmental milestones, and sensory-motor assessment and intervention - Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills - Comfort using technology for documentation and communication - Successful completion of fingerprinting and required background screening - Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality ### **Physical Requirements** School-based occupational therapists should be able to actively participate in a variety of educational settings.
