Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Children’s Community OT Service. This is a highly flexible role offering strong leadership, support, and the opportunity to work within a well-structured Local Authority setting supporting children and young people with disabilities in the community. What will your responsibilities be? Assess children and young people with disabilities within home and community settings Provide recommendations for specialist equipment and housing adaptations Complete moving and handling assessments and provide safe solutions Interpret technical drawings and housing plans for adaptations Work collaboratively with families, schools, housing, and health professionals Ensure compliance with relevant children’s legislation and housing legislation Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning Benefits: Flexible working for the right candidate Strong leadership and supportive team environment Opportunity to work in a specialist children’s OT role Varied caseload across community settings Desirable: Experience working with children and young people with disabilities Additional training such as: Manual Handling Fieldwork Educator Relevant in-service training Key Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of Local Authority structures and responsibilities Knowledge of eligibility criteria for equipment and adaptations Ability to interpret technical plans and housing layouts Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills Experience completing formal moving & handling assessments Qualifications & Experience: Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience Experience working within a community setting Strong knowledge of: Children’s legislation and Local Authority responsibilities Housing adaptations and specialist equipment Moving and Handling practices and Health & Safety legislation Why Liquid Personnel?
