Prepares patients for examinations and explains procedures to patients. Monitors and interprets medical diagnostic scans. Performs correlation analysis and clinical history of examinations. Consults with physician regarding patient's history and ultrasound procedures and practices. Reports equipment malfunctions or failures to appropriate personnel. Trains personnel in use of ultrasound equipment. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. No experience required. **Equivalency/Substitution**: Will accept 24 months experience in lieu of the Associate's Degree. **Certifications**: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications. Must obtain the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification within the first 6 months of employment.
