Nutrition Services Buyer

**As a Nutrition Services Buyer, you will:** - Purchase food and non-food supplies for patient dining, Robin's Cove, and catering events. - Review upcoming menus and forecast inventory needs. - Place orders with multiple vendors using electronic ordering systems. - Maintain accurate inventory levels and purchasing records. - Ensure compliance with purchasing contracts and department guidelines. - Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries. - Process vendor invoices and returns in a timely manner. - Follow food safety, infection prevention, and HACCP standards. - Work closely with culinary and nutrition services leadership to support daily operations. **Required Qualifications** - High school diploma or GED. - Minimum of **2 years of food service experience** with knowledge of food products and packaging. - Strong organizational and inventory management skills. - Basic computer proficiency, including email and inventory/order entry software. - Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records. **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience using automated purchasing and inventory systems. - ServSafe Certification. **Ideal Candidate** You are: - Highly organized and dependable - Comfortable working with multiple vendors and deadlines - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills - A collaborative team player - Committed to food safety and exceptional customer service **Physical Requirements** This position requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced food service environment.
