We are looking for someone to provide scheduling needs for our residents in scheduler in our Skilled Nursing Facility. We would love to have you join our team! **GENERAL SUMMARY** **:** The Nursing Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and optimizing staff schedules across the Health Center department to ensure adequate coverage, compliance with staffing ratios, and continuity of care. This role plays a critical part in enhancing scheduling efficiencies, reducing reliance on agency staffing, and promoting staff retention and engagement through flexible scheduling practices and proactive communication. **PRINCIPLE DUTIES** **:** **Essential Job Duties** **:** **Scheduling & Staffing Efficiency** 1. Utilize scheduling software to create and maintain accurate, efficient staff schedules. 2. Ensure timely posting of bi-weekly schedules and updates based on staffing needs. 3. Monitor and manage call-outs, shift coverage, and time-off requests to maintain required staffing levels. 4. Implement strategies to reduce agency staffing through proactive internal scheduling and staff engagement. 5. Maintain real-time visibility into staffing gaps and respond promptly to coverage needs. **Staff Engagement & Retention** 1. Communicate clearly and respectfully with staff regarding scheduling changes, preferences, and accommodations. 2. Promote flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance and increase employee satisfaction. 3. Track attendance and punctuality; collaborate with management to address patterns of absenteeism. 4. Conduct orientation for new staff, emphasizing scheduling expectations and community culture. 5. Support a culture of hospitality and wellness through positive interactions and responsiveness. **Administrative & Payroll Support** 1. Prepare and submit accurate payroll data, including timecard corrections and exception forms. 2. Verify hours worked and ensure compliance with payroll policies. 3. Communicate employee status changes to Human Resources as needed. 4. Assist nurse management with clerical tasks and documentation. **Communication & Collaboration** 1. Serve as a liaison between staff, residents, families, and leadership regarding scheduling matters. 2. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications. 3. Provide timely updates and reports to the Director of Nursing and other stakeholders. **Other Job Duties** **:** 1. Visits residents as scheduled and if required. 2. Assist with maintenance of resident files. 3. Assist with maintenance and update of staff training records. 4. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. 5.
