This is a unique and vital role that bridges our workforce by supporting HR operations while ensuring clear, effective communication across our diverse team. If you're passionate about people, fluent in both Portuguese and English, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! **Responsibilities:** - Serve as the primary Portuguese-English translator for employee communications, documents, and meetings - Support day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, and employee recordkeeping - Assist with recruiting efforts including posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews - Act as a liaison between management and Portuguese-speaking employees to ensure clear communication - Translate HR policies, safety guidelines, and training materials from English to Portuguese - Help maintain compliance with employment laws and company HR policies - Support payroll processing and timekeeping administration as needed - Additional Human Resources tasks as needed **Requirements:** - Fluent in both Portuguese and English (written and verbal) — required - Fluency in Spanish is also helpful as a third language, but not required - 1-3 years of experience in HR, administration, or a related field - Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first mindset - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or HR software platforms - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information - Experience in the construction or trades industry is a plus **About Us:** Northern Lights Painting Company is a trusted painting contractor serving the greater Boston area and New England, known for delivering high-quality residential painting services with professionalism and care.
