Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician. - Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures. Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure. - Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens. Checks all equipment and instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning. - Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy procedures. - Maintains an orderly environment and anticipates the needs of the physician during procedures. - Demonstrates proficiency in the setup of multi-specialty endoscopy procedures. - Demonstrates dexterity, knowledge, and safety in the care and handling of endoscopy instrumentation and supplies. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** • Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment.
