# Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) **Job Type:** Full-Time **Place of Performance:** Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) 100 Brewster Blvd, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547 **Schedule:** 24/7 coverage. Two 13-hour shifts daily, including weekends and Federal holidays. Each shift includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break and a 30-minute compensated handoff. ## Summary Viakorp Corporation is seeking a qualified **Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)** to provide comprehensive neonatal care at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. The selected candidate will support the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Mother Baby Unit, and Labor & Delivery Unit while delivering high-quality medical care to military families and other eligible beneficiaries. Services are performed within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment while maintaining compliance with Defense Health Agency (DHA) standards and Military Treatment Facility policies. ## Requirements - Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. - Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in any U.S. state or territory. - National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. - Current DEA registration (if required for prescribing). - Current BLS and NRP certification (ACLS preferred if applicable). - Eligible for credentialing and clinical privileges at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. - Ability to obtain and maintain an SF-85 security determination. - U.S. Citizenship required. - Current National Provider Identifier (NPI). - Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. - Must maintain all continuing education requirements required for licensure and certification. ## Duties - Provide comprehensive neonatal care within the Level II NICU. - Assess, diagnose, and manage newborns requiring specialized medical treatment. - Respond to deliveries and neonatal emergencies within Labor & Delivery. - Perform neonatal stabilization and resuscitation as clinically indicated. - Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. - Prescribe medications within authorized clinical privileges. - Coordinate patient care with Neonatologists, pediatric specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. - Document patient encounters accurately using Government electronic medical record systems. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and required clinical meetings. - Educate families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment plans, and discharge planning. - Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, DHA policies, and all Military Treatment Facility requirements. - Participate in emergency preparedness activities and required Government training. - Perform additional neonatal clinical duties consistent with granted privileges.
