Natural Resources Technician

As a Natural Resources Technician, you will assist with the planning, administration, and implementation of Natural Resources programs focused on the management of water resources, upland habitat, wildlife, and environmental outreach and education. In this role, you will help protect and enhance the City's natural resources while collaborating with staff, residents, and community partners. And they expect the best by: - Managing natural resource projects, contractors, and environmental monitoring. - Providing exceptional service through collaboration and community engagement. **Miniumum Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental studies, or a related natural resources field; or an equivalent combination of training and education to perform the work. - Two years of experience in water resources and lake management required. - Experience using GIS-based software. - Ability to present to citizen groups and City commissions. - Experience and interest in habitat and wildlife management preferred. - Experience with wetland conservation requirements preferred. - Local government experience preferred. - Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license or the ability to obtain one. **Tentative Interview Timeline:** - First-Round Interviews: August 18, 2026, at the Public Works Facility - Second-Round Interviews: August 25, 2026, at the Public Works Facility
