All-State Career School in Essington is seeking an experienced State Examiner. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Conduct MVA practical examinations consisting of air brake, on-course maneuvering skills, vehicle pre-trips, inspection skills, and on-road test consistent and in strict accordance with the test specifications and procedures prescribed by the MVA testing manual. - Prepare documents as required by the MVA for the purpose of submitting testing results to the MVA. - Perform other duties as may be specified by the Director of Trades, Department Chairperson or the Campus President. - Assist the Department Chairperson and the Director of Trades with document preparation and reporting requirements as required by the MVA for testers. - Adhere to and support school policies and procedures as referenced in the employee handbook, faculty handbook, and student catalog. - Participate in advisory board meetings, in-services, weekly, and faculty meetings. - Attend scheduled training and instructional sessions as required by the MVA. - Participate in scheduled safety meetings and other company-sponsored in-service training sessions. - Other duties as assigned. - Maintain regular and reliable attendance. **Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:** - Must have three years of experience as a commercial motor vehicle operator with the appropriate CDL Class and all endorsements required for operation of the commercial motor vehicle used in the CDL test conducted by the tester, and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate. - Must complete an examiner workshop conducted by the MVA. - Must attend future training courses, workshops, and seminars required by the MVA. Failure to attend scheduled training and instructional sessions will result in cancellation of the tester's certification. **Classification:** Nonexempt **Work Hours:** 40 hours per week, hours may vary daily and include some evening and weekend hours, as may be required. **Travel:** None **Working Environment**: Exterior range and road as needed to conduct MVA examinations.
