As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety. You will be joining a close-knit, hardworking, and supportive team of caregivers that prioritizes quality patient care. This position offers a great starting point on which to expand your skillsets and experience. Tech will follow mobile MRI machine between Twinsburg and Sports Health. **A caregiver in this position works days| 7:00am—3:30pm or 9:30am—6:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of MRI examination. - Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA. - Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams. - Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam. - Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service. - Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility. - Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students. - Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT - Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing. Or must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways) - Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) (required within one year of hire) - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification - Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - One year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities **Physical Requirements:** - Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. - Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily. - Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds. **Personal Protective Equipment:** - Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
