Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. - Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam. - Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging. - Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. - Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] - Knowledge of MRI procedures [Required] - Knowledge of MRI scanners [Required] - Ability to learn and grow with new technology [Required] - Customer Service skills [Required] **Education:** - High School Grad or Equiv [Required] **Field of Study:** - N/A **Work Experience:** - 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred] **Additional Information:** - (RT)(MR)(ARRT): Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
