All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:** - Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403-B Retirement Plan - 4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental Leave - Career Development - Whole Person Well-being Resources - Mental Health Resources and Support - Pet Benefits **Schedule:** PRN **Shift:** Day-Weekend (United States of America) **Address:** 7171 N DALE MABRY HWY **City:** TAMPA **State:** Florida **Postal Code:** 33614 **Job Description:** - Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. - Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. - Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam. - Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging. - Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. - Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. - Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. - Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. - Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety. - Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies). - Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation. - Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. - Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] - Knowledge of MRI procedures [Required] - Knowledge of MRI scanners [Required] - Ability to learn and grow with new technology [Required] - Customer Service skills [Required] - MRI Safety [Required] - Basic IV skills [Required] - Ability to work well in a constantly changing environment [Required] - Ability to work flexibly in variable shifts, occasionally including weekends or holidays [Required] - Ability to understand medical terminology [Required] - Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required] - Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required] - Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] - General computer skills and PACS [Preferred] - General physics and anatomy [Preferred] - Experience/knowledge of computers/networking [Required] - Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required] - Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education [Required] - Must maintain all required regist…
