JCMG’s Radiology department is looking for an experienced MRI/CT Tech. This is a PRN position to assist within the department as needed. Candidate must be flexible in their responsibilities and be willing to work in a fast-paced, department. Successful candidate must be certified in either MR and/or CT, and registered with the ARRT. Competitive salary based on experience. No on-call and no weekend hours. Job Specific Competencies: - Performs Computed Tomography (CT) imaging procedures and/or MRI procedures as indicated in the procedure manual. - Performs other related imaging procedures producing images for interpretation by a physician. - Demonstrates knowledge and ability to assist with checking patient into the Radiology Department for testing. - Maintains a safe environment. - Graduate of the committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiography program, JCERT accredited or other national accreditation agencies acceptable to the ARRT Certification/License: - AART certification in MR or OJT training to become registered with the ARRT - Registered Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist or OJT training - Must become registered with the ARRT within 1 year of training start date - Maintains credentials in good standing - BLS required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Knowledge of anatomy and physiology in order to perform MR and/or CT testing - Knowledge of imaging equipment - Good verbal skills - Basic computer skills - Ability to use computerized information systems - Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships **WORK ENVIRONMENT** Work is normally performed in an interior/office or workshop environment. Routine office noise, exposure to chemicals, hazardous material/waste, blood and body fluids.
