The MVO operates various types and classes of motor vehicles — including buses, trucks, vans, and shuttle vans — on scheduled or special runs between government facilities. This is an as-needed position that must be performed without government supervision or intervention and requires excellent driving skills, punctuality, and a strong commitment to customer service. The MVO verifies passengers against manifest and completes all required paperwork including trip tickets and fuel dispensing records. The MVO adheres to all state, local, and installation traffic laws and ordinances, maneuvers vehicles in and out of constricted areas including narrow city streets and congested parking lots, and performs routine preventative maintenance checks on assigned vehicles. The MVO maintains a professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times, reports all incidents and accidents promptly, and supports executive transportation needs during and outside of standard business hours. | | | --- |
