The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects. The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects kill chain analysis and space-enabled campaign modeling. As a member of CMED, you will provide technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, kill chain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation. We support a variety of customers with broad program portfolios, and we are looking for curious and innovative teammates to help us address our customers’ hardest problems! **Work Model:**This is a full-time, 100% onsite position located in El Segundo, CA.**What** **** **You’ll** **** **Be Doing** - Develop new, customer-driven capability into our mod & sim software tools - Leveraging modern tech stack and enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability - Assisting in converting programmatic requirements into actionable work - Work closely with our cross-mission focused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks - Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers - Travel occasionally as required **What You Need to be Successful** **** **–** **** **Member of the Technical Staff** **** **-** **** **Modeling & Simulation Engineering***Minimum* *Requirements:* - Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited program in computer science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field - Three or more years of experience in modern software development using a systems software language - Proficiency in C/C++, preferably in C++20 - Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C/C++ - Experience with Python - Experience in modeling and simulation software development - Experience in at least one of the following: optics, beam control, filtering, multi-int tracking, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination - Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks - Familiar with software development cycles and working with repos (git, bitbucket, etc.) - Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and address them with initiative - This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance,…
