Pay: $22.07-$24.43 hourly The main objective of a Millwork Puller is to stack and band product bundles in an efficient and safe manner satisfying our external customer’s orders. This position reports directly to the Manager. **Duties and Responsibilities** Quality of Work - Works at a good steady pace with a sense of urgency - Quality of work is accurate and efficient - Comes to work property attired, well-groomed with good hygiene - Helps in overall cleanliness of the location - Makes sure every order is built correctly, stacked in order, banded correctly, and labeled properly - All products are cut to the correct length with no material defects - Speed in pulling millwork packs with consistent great quality - Manages paperwork effectively - Delivers highly accurate quality of work with speed as a millwork puller - Has ability to spot identify and proactively fix errors - Perform other related duties as assigned Job Knowledge - Completes required Parr University training as needed - Understands saw safety and usage - Identifies different species/grades of lumber - Carries and can read measuring tape - Understands proper terminology and how to properly use all equipment used - Understands what a properly constructed millwork pack looks like - Understands jargon of millwork - Reads shop drawings and knows how to use them - Teaches others and applies that knowledge to building team Teamwork - Always arrives on time and prepared to work - Good attitude towards necessary tasks - Works well with others as a positive team player - Adaptable to change - Adheres to company policies - Maintains an excellent attendance record - Walks with a purpose - Finishes all work before leaving each day - Accepts experienced team member’s advice and gives feedback - Assists other team members with their work when appropriate - Promotes positive environment by having a cheerful attitude and speaking well of others - Contributes ideas to make things better or more efficient - Great attitude toward necessary tasks - Mentors new teammates when possible - Demonstrates extra mile mentality Communication - Writes legibly on all materials - Informs co-workers of whereabouts - Consistently participates in team meetings and discussions - Has relationships with all coworkers: yard, management and uses those relationships to solve problems - Regularly brings areas of concern in plant to management’s attention - Proactively and positively communicates with all coworkers Safety - Wears required high visibility/proper uniform when required - Safety gear is always utilized (PPE gear: gloves, eye protection, hearing protection) - Maintain station cleanup procedures - Keep body parts clear of hammers and other tools and carts - Does daily work area inspection for organization and safety - Demonstrates consistency in following all company safety protocols - Proactively brings safety issues to the attention of the Manager - Encourages coworkers to follow best practices with safety - Participates on safety committee as needed **Qualifications** - High school diploma or GED *preferred* - Ability to speak, write, and read English *required* - Must be able to use a framing hammer, electric saw, pneumatic nail gun, and any other equipment necessary for the job - Ability to read a tape measure - Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material *required* Interpersonal Skills - Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment - Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related t…
