The LRE Teacher works collaboratively with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, counselors, paraprofessionals, related service providers, students, and families to ensure students receive appropriate services in the least restrictive environment. The LRE Teacher is responsible for implementing Individualized Education Programs, monitoring student progress, supporting access to the general education curriculum, and maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state special education requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Specialized Instruction and Student Support Provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs. Deliver instruction in resource, co-taught, small-group, and general education settings, as assigned. Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments to meet individual student needs. Implement accommodations, modifications, supplementary aids, and services identified in student IEPs. Provide academic, organizational, behavioral, executive-functioning, and study-skills support. Use evidence-based instructional practices and interventions appropriate to each student's needs. Support students in developing independence, self-advocacy, communication, and problem-solving skills. Assist students in accessing grade-level academic standards and the general education curriculum. Provide support for students participating in credit-recovery, intervention, alternative education, and graduation-planning programs, as appropriate. Individualized Education Programs Serve as the teacher of record or case manager for assigned students. Develop, review, and implement legally compliant IEPs. Write measurable annual goals based on current student data and identified needs. Maintain accurate present levels of academic achievement and functional performance. Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals. Prepare and distribute progress reports in accordance with district timelines. Participate in annual case conferences, reevaluations, manifestation determination conferences, transition meetings, and other required meetings. Coordinate with families and staff to schedule case conference committee meetings. Ensure all required IEP documentation is completed accurately and within established timelines. Maintain confidentiality of student information and special education records. Collaboration and Consultation Collaborate with general education teachers to plan instruction and support student access to the curriculum. Consult with teachers regarding accommodations, modifications, behavior supports, grading, and instructional strategies. Participate in co-teaching and collaborative instructional models, as assigned. Communicate student needs, services, accommodations, and progress to appropriate staff. Work collaboratively with school counselors, administrators, school psychologists, social workers, nurses, therapists, behavior specialists, and other service providers. Provide direction and support to paraprofessionals working with assigned students. Participate as an active member of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports team, special education team, and student support teams. Collaborate with fami…
