**Center for Human Services** (CHS) is seeking dynamic, caring, and committed professionals to join our Behavioral Health Team as **Mental Health Clinicians** serving children at assigned school sites in Stanislaus County and may also serve community clients at our Modesto clinic. To learn more about our programs, check out our website: [www.centerforhumanservices.org](http://www.centerforhumanservices.org/) **POSITION SUMMARY:** Partner with school sites to identify mental health needs and provide counseling, therapy and referrals to meet these needs for children and families. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will provide short-term family and child counseling for a variety of diagnostic issues, conduct mental health assessments, maintain electronic health records (EHR) and meet contractual requirements. **DUTIES:** 1. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with designated school site or community site, Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services' (BHRS) and with colleagues and staff. 2. Provide assessments to clients that have been referred by the school. 3. Consult with school staff as appropriate regarding client’s treatment issues. 4. Conduct family and child counseling with clients who meet medical necessity/DSM V diagnostic criteria. 5. Make appropriate referrals to community agency/events. 6. Provide individual, group and family therapy to assigned populations. 7. Development and facilitation of psycho-educational groups, parenting and other classes as needed or required. 8. Attendance at individual and group supervision as assigned. 9. Complete necessary client case materials, program forms and statistical data. 10. Complete screenings and provide aftercare follow-up procedures, in a timely manner. 11. Complete all necessary charting, reports and statistical information necessary for assigned client population, in a timely manner. 12. Meet contractual obligation by billing a determined number of reimbursable hours. 13. Perform other duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS:** 1. Completed Masters degree (or degree in progress) in Counseling/ Psychology or Social Work. 2. Has current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (or in progress). 3. Possess strong organizational skills. 4. Be a self motivated individual; possessing the ability to initiate action related to billing hours and documentation. 5. Ability to: 1. Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, client families and the professional community. 2. Organize and prioritize work to meet critical deadlines. 3. Balance meeting contract hours with paperwork requirements. 4. Assess and prioritize client issues and determine needs. 5. Establish clear boundaries in a diplomatic manner with clients and school personnel. 6. Be open to feedback from clinical and administrative supervisors. 6. Knowledge of: 1. Theory, principles, techniques and trends in counseling and therapy. 2. Community resources. 3. DSM V Diagnostic Criteria. 4. Electronic Health Record Systems Software; including Microsoft Office Suite. 7. Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints. 8.
