Join the amazing team at New Hope, where every shift is an opportunity to enrich the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. **Position Overview:** We are looking for a dedicated Medication and Treatment Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring safe and effective medication administration, providing ordered treatments, and conducting medication audits and education. **Key Responsibilities:** Medication Administration: - Oversee and administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance. - Monitor residents for medication efficacy and side effects, working with RN Coordinators to adjust care plans as needed. Auditing: - Conduct regular audits of medication administration records and treatment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. - Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Education and Training: - Provide training and ongoing education for CMAs on medication administration, policies, and best practices. Documentation: - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing assessments, medication administration, and treatment interventions. - Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications: - Unencumbered RN or LPN licensure in Iowa. - Experience in ICF/ID settings or with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. - Strong knowledge of medication management and nursing practices. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to obtain a chauffeur’s license.
