**This is a part-time position Monday- Wednesday and Friday (8:00-5:00) but could vary based on the needs of the department.** Job Specific Competencies: - Assists in storage, maintenance and retrieval of the medical records and Electronic Health Record (EHR) - Manage scanned and indexed images in EHR database. - Correctly uses facility communication systems. - Assists patients with release of information requests - Assists with managing incoming/outgoing faxes to Medical Records Fax. - Assists with managing referral requests - Assists EHR analysts with end user support issues as needed. - Perform chart audits when requested. - Communicates with 3^rd^ party vendors as needed. - Provides receptionist desk coverage. - Follow all JCMG policies and procedures. - Assist in Patient Portal Support / Registration JCMG Core Competencies: - Strives for continuous quality improvement. - Participates in educational experiences for professional competence. - Maintains high work ethics. - Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** Education: - High school diploma or GED Experience: - One-year medical records experience Certification/License: - N/A Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Knowledge of Microsoft Windows computer applications - Knowledge of medical terminology - Knowledge of medical records - Ability to file and maintain patient records, reports, and other correspondence - Ability to be flexible in hours and duties - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information **BENEFITS** **Pro-rated PTO and Holiday pay**
