Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

Seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support a private mental health and pain management medical practice in Franklin, TN. The Medical Assistant provides both clinical and front-desk support: preparing patients and treatment rooms, monitoring Spravato patients, turning over rooms between treatments, assisting patients to their vehicles, and sharing front desk coverage. The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, organized, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small, close-knit clinic which ensures every patient receives compassionate, high-quality care. **Duties & Responsibilities:** - Room patients and prepare them for treatment, including taking histories and vital signs - Prepare, stock, and turn over treatment rooms between patients, maintaining a clean, calm, and orderly environment - Provide clinical support during treatment sessions, including monitoring patients throughout the required observation period and alerting the nurse or physician to any changes - Assist the physician and nursing staff with patient care and treatment preparation - Assist patients to and from the clinic, including escorting them to their vehicles following treatment - Share front desk coverage: greet and check in patients, answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, and support smooth patient flow - Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the EMR - Support supply management and general clinic operations **Qualifications/Education:** - Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program, OR current MA certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, or NCMA), OR a minimum of 12 months of direct clinical patient-care experience in a healthcare setting - BLS certification - Prior experience in an outpatient clinic, infusion, or behavioral health setting preferred - Compassion, organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a small team - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Previous EMR experience - Ability to manage time, multitask across clinical and front-desk duties, and maintain strict patient confidentiality - Comfort supporting a mental health and chronic pain patient population **EOE Statement** We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
