MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/INT MED - PERRYSBURG OH - M-F (645a-300p)

**Toledo Clinic's Internal Medicine office, located in Perrysburg Ohio, is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist. This position will work Monday-Friday (6:45am - 3:00pm). Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.** **General Summary** Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** - Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule. - Answering phones - courteously and professionally. - Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc. - Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications. - Updating insurance information. - Answering general patient questions. - Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel. **Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To** - Collecting co-pays. - Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets. - Preparing and cleaning exam rooms. - Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts. - Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required** *Required:* - Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire. - Completes all tasks within established time frame. - Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures. - Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills. - Computer skills helpful. - Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. - Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. *Education:* - HS diploma or GED. *Preferred:* - Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
