Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to patient satisfaction and the overall effectiveness of the healthcare facility. **We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Receptionist 1 at Center for Digestive Disease in Somers Point, NJ.** **Responsibilities:** - Greet and assist patients and visitors promptly and courteously upon arrival. - Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Verify patient information, insurance details, and collect co-payments or fees as required. - Maintain and update patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. - Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical staff or departments. - Coordinate patient flow by notifying medical staff of patient arrivals and managing waiting areas. - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and preparing patient charts for appointments. - Handle billing inquiries and provide basic information regarding services and policies. **Skills:** The Medical Receptionist 1 utilizes strong organizational skills daily to manage appointment schedules and patient records efficiently, ensuring smooth clinic operations. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives, facilitating clear and compassionate exchanges.
