Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.**********Medical Laboratory Technician****** **Responsibilities Include:** - Perform specimen accessioning, specimen processing, and specimen disposition tasks IAW all applicable AFDTL OIs. Specimen will be handled using the appropriate techniques to ensure forensic integrity throughout the laboratory testing processes. It is possible the contractor employee may need to testify in court. - Perform additional duties associated with specimen accessioning, specimen processing, and specimen disposition, such as the retrieval of mail and packages into the laboratory, opening of packages containing urine specimens for drug testing, emptying packaging and recyclable material into designated waste areas, transferring specimen trays and bottles, and disposing of member urine specimens into designated containers for waste pick-up. - Perform immunoassay screening of screen batches IAW all applicable AFDTL OIs. Screen batches will be handled using the appropriate techniques to ensure forensic integrity throughout the laboratory testing processes. It is possible the contractor employee may need to testify in court. The number of contractor personnel, and the amount of work hours, performing immunoassay screening will be coordinated with, and approved by the CO/COR. - Perform additional duties associated with immunoassay screening such as, daily immuno-analyzer upkeep, loading, unloading, and refilling analyzer reagents, transferring screen batch aliquot trays, aliquot destruction, disposing of trash in the appropriate waste areas, and disposing of member urine specimens in the appropriate manner. - Performs other job-related duties as assigned **********Medical Laboratory Technician****** **Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:** - Active Secret security clearance - Associate’s degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or 60 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses, or 24 semester hours of science courses that include six (6) semester hours of biology and 12 semester hours of chemistry. - Two (2) years clinical or forensic laboratory experience. - Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal **Company Information:************Cherokee Insights (Insights)****** is a part of Cherokee Federal – the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
