**Medical Collections Specialist – Physical Therapy Practice (NYC)** **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Compensation: $28-$32 per hour plus benefits** We are a growing physical therapy practice committed to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking an experienced Medical Collections Specialist to join our team and help manage insurance collections, claim follow-up, and revenue recovery from a variety of commercial insurance carriers, including BCBS and other out-of-network payers. **Responsibilities** - Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and accounts receivable balances. - Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status, denials, underpayments, and appeals. - Investigate and resolve reimbursement discrepancies. - Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals as needed. - Work with out-of-network insurance plans to maximize reimbursement. - Document all collection activities and maintain accurate account records.. **This is a full time, on site position.
