MAXhealth in **St. Petersburg 7th ST S.** is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant with 1+ years of experience, the ability to be on your feet long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and have EMR/EHR experience to oversee patient care, prepare patient's room, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. You prepare them to see the physician by preparing exams and procedure rooms, obtain their histories, vitals, and weight/height. As needed, you perform some administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures, managing the necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. You may also assist with referrals activities for approvals, efficiency of referral department, collect medical information in order to determine appropriate use of services, and act as a liaison between insurance, healthcare providers, and the department to ensure required referrals have been processed correctly for medical specialty visits.
