As a member of the health care team, the Medical Assistant will assist and support the Medical Department’s professional staff. The Medical Assistant will: - Provide care to patients during all stages of their visits - Supports both front and back office procedures - Completes visit preparation activates for upcoming visits - Participate in morning and afternoon Team Huddles - Ensure all related reports, labs and information is attached and available in patients’ medical record prior to appointments - Escort patients to exam rooms and complete Intake actions such as: vital signs, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature - Assist provider with patient exam and procedures - Perform various lab tests, screening and phlebotomy testing consistent with training and clinic policies - Assist with maintenance and inventory of medical equipment and supplies - Clean and restock exam room and lab between patient visits - Monitor provides inboxes and assist with tasks and medication refills - Perform prior authorizations for medications, referrals, and diagnostic testing as needed - Maintain tracking and log records for immunizations, injectables, etc. - Adhere to safety and control standards at all times - Maintain high level of professional communication with staff **What you need:** - High school diploma or equivalent - Current Medical Assistant licensure - Current BLS/ALS certificate preferred - Experience in medical field preferred - Must pass Occupational Health Screening. - Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system. - Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).
