As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team and support our mission. **Essential Duties:** - Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, medical history, and documenting information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system - Responsible for entering recalls and handling new prescription/prescription refills as directed by the physician - Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure patient care is delivered seamlessly and safely - Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards - Triage phone calls accordingly - Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as needed basis - Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations - Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge - Other duties as assigned - Please note that the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and may be subject to change at any time to meet the evolving needs of the company. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, lift and move up to 25 lbs. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate with standard office and procedure room noise levels.
