Medical Assistant (Breckinridge Primary Care)

**Responsibilities**: - Performs administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider - physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner - in the medical office setting - The Medical Assistant works closely with the physician in the practice/center clinical setting, assists with direct patient care, and serves as the clinical liaison between physician and patient and between physician and the office staff - The incumbent is responsible for promoting communication among all care providers, patients, and office staff regarding the care plan for the patient as defined by the attending physician - This individual attends to patients utilizing the age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty - Taking patients to rooms - Greeting patients - Obtaining vital signs - Assisting with medical procedures - Performing phlebotomy - Obtaining lab specimens - Prior authorizations - Adhering to safety and infection guidelines - Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) - Calculating & administering medications & vaccinations **Qualifications:** - Kentucky Medical Assistant Degree Required - Medical Assistant Certification preferred - BLS Certification - At least 1 year of experience preferred **Benefits Offered:** - 403(b) - 403(b) matching - Health Insurance - Dental Insurance - Vision Insurance - Flexible Spending Account - Health Savings Account - Short Term Disability - Cancer, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity - Paid Vacation Time - Paid Sick Time - Wellness Plan Weekdays 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
