US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our vascular team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care. **Responsibilities:** - Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients - Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients’ charts. - Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment - Assists with wound care - Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials - Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests - Screens telephone calls for physicians - Returns patient phone calls - Calls in patient prescriptions - Schedule hospital and outpatient surgeries - Answers triage calls - Travel required - Other related duties may be assigned **Requirements:** - Completion of a Medical Assistant program - Cardiac Experience preferred but not required - Knowledge in medical terminology **About Tucson, AZ**: Tucson offers stunning desert landscapes, mountain views, and over 300 days of sunshine.
