SLB New Energy & Industrial is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of modular data center infrastructure. This role focuses on mechanical and piping systems, supporting projects from design through manufacturing and commissioning. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for candidates with **3–10 years of experience** in mechanical design and a strong interest in large-scale infrastructure or data centers. **Roles and Responsibilities** - Develop and review mechanical and piping designs for data center modules - Check and approve engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation - Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure designs meet project and code requirements - Review vendor drawings and technical submittals (vendor experience is a strong plus) - Support preparation of technical requisitions and equipment specifications - Assist with material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs) - Partner with manufacturing teams to support build and resolve design issues - Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting - Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of products **Qualifications and Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) - **3–10 years of mechanical design experience** - Experience with piping systems and mechanical equipment design - Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, etc.) - Experience reviewing or working with **vendor drawings/submittals preferred** - Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams - Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship. **Nice to Have** - Data center, industrial, or modular construction experience - Exposure to cooling systems, pumps, valves, or fire protection systems - EIT or PE certification (not required) #LI-ER1 . **ALL APPLICANTS FOR U.S. ROLES MUST CAREFULLY READ ALL THE SUPPLEMENTAL U.S. SPECIFIC INFORMATION LISTED BELOW.** SLB is committed to a culture where everyone feels like they belong.
