**Mission** The Mechanical CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and manufacturing, engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings and other related documentation per ANSI/SLB standards, considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies. **Responsibilities** - Function as a designer working with senior engineers. - Prepare complex original mechanical layouts using the CAD system. - Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain highest complexity mechanical and average complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches or verbal instructions. - Be responsible for accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer. - Understand ANSI/SLB drafting methods, standards and procedures. - Understand SLB manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI/SLB standards and procedures. - Possesses basic knowledge of the mechanical and, depending on the seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Business Line. - Maintain status reports on all projects assigned. **Experience & Exposures:** - Creo or Solidworks experience preferable. - Proven experience with MRP / BOM generation and revision. - Ability to balance multiple priorities and work with a sense or urgency to deliver on time. - Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and concepts. - Experience as team lead or mentor to other designers would be beneficial. **Key Competencies:** - Strong attention to detail - Technical proficiency in CAD drafting and modeling - Problem-solving and analytical thinking - Project organization and documentation skills - Commitment to quality and accuracy - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. . **ALL APPLICANTS FOR U.S. ROLES MUST CAREFULLY READ ALL THE SUPPLEMENTAL U.S. SPECIFIC INFORMATION LISTED BELOW.** SLB is committed to a culture where everyone feels like they belong.
