**Due to our exciting growth, we are looking to add another mechanic to our Big Blue Box family!** | **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** | | --- | As a member of Big Blue Boxes family, the individual in this role will be responsible for maintaining our fleet. **Mechanic Responsibilities:** - Maintain, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment. - Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, pick-up, and delivery in close communication with safety department and/or department supervisors. - Perform necessary repairs/inspections to ensure safety and efficiency of operations. - Perform maintenance such as oil changes, tire work, electrical, welding and DOT inspections. - Ability to understand shop manuals and schematics for vehicle maintenance. - Perform container repairs. - Work effectively within a team. - Other duties as assigned. | **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** | | --- | **Mechanic Education:** - High school or equivalent. - DOT certification a plus. - Class A license a plus. **Mechanic Experience:** - Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role or capacity. - Must have your own base set of tools. **Mechanic Skills/Abilities:** - Ability to perform physical tasks associated with this position. - Ability to work independently and take initiative, anticipating and resolving problems. - Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. - Ability to adapt with changing priorities.
