Plus, you'll enjoy the fast-paced environment of a sales and customer service-focused department with the stability of a grocery retail career. ## Job Description ### **What You’ll Do:** As a Meat Assistant Manager at Festival Foods, you will: - **Support the Meat Department Manager:** lead daily operations in their absence and step in as needed. - **Create a positive work environment** by training, mentoring, and developing associates. - **Grow the team:** collaborate with the Meat Department Manager to write and conduct performance reviews, and conduct corrective action as appropriate. - **Keep our meat department running smoothly:** lead by example, maintain proper stock levels, and ensure accurate pricing and merchandising. - **Ensure guests receive outstanding customer service**—help them find what they need, provide expert advice on meat selection and preparation, and resolve any concerns. - **Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace** in compliance with company standards. - **Monitor sales and inventory** to maximize department profitability. - **Collaborate with meat and store leadership teams:** Work closely with the Store Director, Meat Director, Training & Execution Specialists, and other department managers to exceed expectations. - Other duties as assigned. - Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absence. **What You Bring:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
