The MDSHC Coordinator provides upfront review of admission documentation for submission of client assessment data and supplemental medical records into the Georgia Medical Care Foundation (GMCF) online portal. Keys and inputs client data into the GMCF online portal daily. Acts as resource to clinical staff regarding assessment documentation. Provides education and training to CCSP Leadership and clinical teams regarding quality issues, denial reasons and documentation standards based on trends resulting in technical denials from GMCF. Communicates with other waiver programs as necessary to update on client status regarding current waiver services. Tracks denials and appeals internally using Excel spread sheet, communicating updates to appropriate staff. Work in collaboration with the Level of Care Coordinator, works to contact the client’s primary care physician contact to obtain signed Levels of Care in a timely manner before they expire. This is an office-based clinical position with minimal opportunities to provide support in the field.
