As a Math Teacher at Discovery Ranch South, you will play a vital role in helping students in grades 7-12 develop their mathematical skills, build confidence, and achieve academic success while also contributing to their overall healing journey. Small class sizes. ### Responsibilities - Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with state curriculum standards. - Develop and adapt individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. - Assess and track student progress in mathematical understanding. - Coordinate with therapists and support staff to integrate academic goals with therapeutic practices. - Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and interaction. - Maintain clear and constructive communication with students, parents, and team members. - Provide additional support and resources to help students overcome academic challenges. - Oversee teaching assistants to provide individualized academic instruction for each student. - Math Degree with a Valid teaching license - Able to pass criminal investigation background checks. - Able to pass motor vehicle record checks. - Current Utah driver's license (required within 30 days of employment). - 1st Aid & CPR certified (training provided). - Aegis certified (training provided). - Valid Utah teaching license in secondary mathematics. - Prior teaching experience, particularly with middle and high school students, is preferred. - Experience in therapeutic settings or with at-risk youth is a plus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Passion for math education and supporting student growth. - Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) - Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) - Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) - Short Term & Long Term Disability - Training & Development - Free Food & Snacks - Wellness Resources Salary based on experience.
