Position Summary The Math Intervention & Special Education Coordinator provides targeted mathematics intervention for students identified as academically at-risk while also coordinating special education documentation, reporting, and compliance to ensure adherence to federal, state, and network requirements. This role monitors student progress, maintains accurate compliance records, coordinates and participates in family IEP meetings, collaborates with teachers, related service providers, and school leadership, and ensures students receive high-quality instruction, appropriate interventions, and mandated supports that promote academic success. *This role is located at our Amber Charter Kingsbridge Elementary School (3120 Corlear Ave, Bronx, NY 10463) Essential Responsibilities: Mathematics Intervention Provides direct Tier II and Tier III mathematics intervention to individual students (Grades K-4) and small groups. Plans and delivers engaging, research-based intervention lessons aligned to the New York State Learning Standards. Differentiates instruction based on student assessment data and individual learning needs. Monitors student progress using diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments. Adjust intervention plans and instructional strategies based on student performance and progress monitoring. Maintains accurate lesson plans, intervention logs, session notes, and student progress documentation. Collaborates with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with classroom instruction and student goals. Communicates student progress with families and instructional staff. Special Education Compliance & Coordination Coordinates special education documentation and compliance to ensure adherence to federal, state, and network requirements. Monitors timelines for referrals, evaluations, annual reviews, reevaluations, progress reports, and mandated services. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of IEPs, accommodations, service schedules, and required compliance documentation. Coordinates and participates in family IEP meetings, ensuring timely communication and documentation. Collaborates with teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure IEP accommodations and services are implemented with fidelity. Prepares compliance reports, audit documentation, trackers, and required state and network reporting. Maintains organized, accurate, and audit-ready student records in a timely manner. Supports school leadership during compliance reviews, audits, monitoring visits, and the writing of IEP documents. Participates in Child Study Team (CST) meetings and contributes relevant academic data and recommendations. Maintains confidentiality of all student records and information. Participates in professional learning opportunities and required school meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree.
