Material Handler

Sewer Equipment provides the highest quality and most innovative sewer cleaning products for the municipal and contractor market. The Material Handler is responsible to accurately transfer products with a forklift, both physically and logically, into and/or out of the facility in a timely manner. **Duties/Responsibilities:** - Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations. - Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information. - Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy. - Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule. - Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids). - When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors. - Validates, approves, and forwards invoices to accounting department. - Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment. - Performs other related duties as assigned. **Required Skills/Abilities:** - Excellent verbal communication skills. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Good math and written communication skills. - Efficient time management skills. **Education and Experience:** - 1-2 years’ Forklift experience **Physical Requirements:** - Prolonged periods of standing. - Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time. - Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures inside and outside of the warehouse. **Commitments and Location:** - Permanent Full-Time Role Based in Dixon, IL - Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:30 am- 5:00pm **Benefits Include:** Pay Range of $17.03 - $22.14 Productivity Bonus, paid quarterly. Average 2023 payout was $4/hour.
