We currently have an open opportunity for a **Material Handler IV - Inventory Control** available in our Distribution Center in Columbus, Ohio. This position directs & audits work activities of warehouse workers to ensure efficiency, safety, on-time, and quality assurance standards. Duties include, but are not limited to - Support management of workflow, LTL or pack line; - Utilize Warehouse Management System to create and sort batches of orders, communicate order fulfillment issues to sales team, resolve system batching issues, organize workload for the DC floor; - Assign Tasks; - Monitor E-mail box; - Follow through on requests from upper management, sales, etc.; - Uses WMS and SAP to identify discrepancies; - Miscellaneous Inventory Rectification/Identification; - Conduct Quality and Safety Audits; - Train associates on proper procedures, practices, and equipment; - Utilize RF and/or pick label to verify item/quantity/location to pick and/or receive· - Pass all safety checks and fork lift certifications on all equipment and complete daily operator checklists; - Measure, weigh and count products and materials; - Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools; - Properly operate multiple pieces of equipment including stock chasers, order pickers, stand up and sit down fork lifts, turret trucks; - Validate quantity, quality, and model number of product; - Utilizing shipment software; - Maintain an incident and accident free driving history Education and Required Skills: - A high school diploma or equivalent is required. - Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals. - 1-2 experience leading a team or function - 1-2 years inventory control and WMS experience - Preferred: SAP and Korber experience
