You have come to the right place.** **Summary**The primary responsibility of the Machine Operator is to operate machinery in the fabrication shop and to ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced according to established protocols. **Essential Functions** - Ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced according to established protocols - Operate, maintain, and demonstrate mastery of one or more machines; cross-trained on multiple machines as applicable - Inspect slabs for defects and ensure cuts are accurate - Polish and cut stone and edges to specifications - Apply increasing knowledge of materials and stone characteristics to ensure quality output - Perform machine operations and maintenance with a high level of accuracy and efficiency - Support workflow and production schedules as required - Provide guidance or mentoring to other operators as applicable - Perform other duties as assigned **Skills & Competencies** - High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); technical degree preferred - 1+ years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, with increasing responsibility over time - Experience running machines in a manufacturing environment - Basic to advanced mechanical skills related to equipment maintenance - Ability to drive production according to a set schedule - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Cross-functional expertise on multiple pieces of equipment - Strong attention to detail and quality standards - Ability to identify stone characteristics and material defects with accuracy - Exhibits leadership and mentoring skills as experience increases **Physical Requirements** - Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and stoop for 8+ hours. - Ability to lift 50+ lbs *If you like working with a growing close knit team and helping home owners design the home of their dreams, come build your career with us!* All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, individual with disabilities, veteran status, gender identity or national origin.
